Rajiv Gandhi Government College, Saha, organised its annual prize distribution ceremony on Friday.
As many as 128 students were awarded in the prize distribution ceremony.
The programme was presided over by college principal Renu Rishi and professor Ankeshwar Prakash, Examination Controller, Kurukshetra University, attended the programme as the chief guest.
Principal Renu Rishi said the objective of the college was the all-round development of  students and the prize distribution ceremony was to honour the talented pupils.
Dr Ankeshwar Prakash, describing the students as the main resource of India, said the Indian youth could change the picture of not only India but the world. In his address, he encouraged the students to work for entrepreneurship development along with studying.
He said India was called the golden bird in history because Indians used to accomplish their tasks by working very hard.
Programme coordinator Savita Rani said that in the programme, the students who demonstrated their talent in education, sports, NCC, NSS and cultural activities were honoured. The students were also given cash prizes along with certificates. Special Pratibha Samman awards were also given to the passed out students from session 2019-20 to 2023-24.
