Mumbai: The 15-year wait of residents for their redeveloped homes at Siddharth Nagar (Patra Chawl) in Goregaon finally ended Friday. Mhada’s Mumbai Board conducted a lottery for 663 eligible members. The winners will receive their possession letters and keys beginning Monday, April 7.
The lottery programme was held in Goregaon Friday. Members were allotted the number of their rehab tenement, including building number, wing, and floor.
However, some residents have reportedly expressed reservations about moving into their homes given that a slab of plaster in one of the new buildings allegedly collapsed three days ago. tnn
