New Delhi: Chief minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a ‘wall art’ initiative in Kalkaji, unveiling a series of development projects aimed at enhancing the area. The comprehensive plan includes the creation of two new parks, the installation of three water ATM plants for slum dwellers, and the setup of 150 solar lights to improve public infrastructure.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said the wall art project, which is developed at a cost of Rs 1 crore, is designed to enhance the area’s aesthetic appeal, convey social and cultural messages and promote cleanliness awareness. MP Ramveer Singh Bidhuri also attended the event.
“As part of this commitment, two parks will be developed in Kalkaji with a budget of Rs 1 crore, offering residents clean, green spaces. Additionally, three water ATM plants, costing Rs 1 crore, will be installed in slum localities to improve water accessibility.
The development plan also includes the installation of 150 solar lights at a cost of Rs 30 lakh, aimed at enhancing security and promoting energy conservation. Gupta highlighted that these projects, undertaken through collaboration between Delhi govt and corporate sponsors, mark a significant step toward public welfare and sustainable urban development. TNN
