New Delhi: A seven-year-old girl was murdered at her residence in Northwest Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar on Sunday. In a second incident, a 20-year-old youth was murdered in New Usmanpur over a monetary dispute.
Police received a PCR call about a murder at a lane in Swaroop Nagar. A team from the local police station rushed to the spot and found a girl lying in a pool of blood at her house. She was taken to the hospital, where she was declared dead.There was bloodshed around her neck.
“CCTVs installed near the victim’s home were checked, and CCTV footage showed two suspects leaving the scene after the alleged time of the incident,” police said.
The deceased’s body was preserved at the hospital for a post-mortem. The deceased girl’s father and mother work as casual labourers, and she has a nine-year-old sister. Police said they are questioning her father.
Meanwhile, in another case, a 20-year-old youth was murdered over a monetary dispute Delhi’s New Usmanpur area. Police have apprehended three people, including two boys.
