HPCC president Pratibha Singh today addressed party workers during third day of her visit to Mandi district. She emphasised the need for immediate action to resolve issues faced by party workers. She urged all party leaders to ensure that the concerns of the workers were addressed promptly and that they feel heard.
Pratibha said that the district and block committees would be restructured soon and those entrusted with responsibilities must prove themselves capable of these. She emphasised that no negligence in following the party directives would be tolerated. The party, she added, would prioritise hardworking workers, who were dedicated and actively participate in party programmes.
Pratibha at a meeting at Sundernagar with party workers from Sundernagar, Dharampur, Nachan, Karsog and Sarkaghat highlighted the creation of a second-line youth leadership in the organisation. This would provide the youth exposure to party activities and leadership roles, allowing them to gain valuable experience. She confirmed that both senior leaders and committed workers would be given important responsibilities in the party at the district and block levels.
She lauded the efforts of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri in ensuring that the Congress government worked effectively. She stressed the importance of spreading the knowledge of the government’s welfare schemes among masses.
She praised Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh’s contribution to the state’s development, especially his efforts in making Mandi a hub of government offices. She took a jibe at Mandi MP Kangana Ranaut and accused her of being indifferent towards the constituency’s issues and failure to engage with the public.
Pratibha urged Congress workers to prepare for the upcoming panchayat and Municipal Corporation elections. She emphasised the need to bring forward deserving candidates aligned with the party’s ideology. She assured Seva Dal workers that their dignity and respect would be upheld, acknowledging their valuable contribution to the party. Former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sohan Lal Thakur also addressed the party workers.
