On the reduction of security for Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and cabinet minister Harpal Cheema said it is shocking that the reduction of one individual’s security has left Akali Dal, BJP, and Congress deeply unsettled.
Harpal Cheema stated that the entire state of Punjab knows that during the Akali Dal-BJP government, the drug mafia expanded its network, leading to an uncontrolled supply of drugs in Punjab. At that time, several Akali leaders were provided with heavy security, even Prime-Minister level security. Shockingly, this security was granted to individuals involved in drug trafficking.
Today, Punjab is governed by the Aam Aadmi Party, which is waging a major war against drug mafias and traffickers. We have always been committed to completely eradicating drugs from Punjab.
Cheema pointed out that while the AAP government is working tirelessly to free Punjab from the menace of drugs, Congress, Akali Dal, and BJP are instead raising their voices in defense of individuals whose names appear in the lists of major drug traffickers—those responsible for establishing the drug empire in Punjab.
