MUMBAI: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut took a dig at home minister Amit Shah‘s visit to the Raigad fort to pay tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji by saying, “He came by helicopter. Nehru climbed the Pratapgad fort after travelling there by road.”
He also said, “We welcome him, but Shivaji Maharaj is watching from up there. He can see how they tried to break Maharashtra.” Raut further said Shah was the leader of deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde’s party. “Shinde will have to be there to welcome the head of his party.
Amit Shah is the head of his party,” he said. On Friday, Raut tweeted a picture of a goat standing on a wooden block with the caption – ‘Have you seen this? ESM group.’ This appears to refer to deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde. When asked about this by the media, he said, “There is a goat in Maharashtra. This goat has been made to stand on a block to be slaughtered.”
