Best Memes from KKR vs RCB, Match 1 – Funniest Reactions & Trolls

Match 1 of the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League was clinched by Royal Challengers Bengaluru by seven wickets with 22 deliveries to spare at the Eden Gardens against Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday, March 22. IPL 2025 got off to a rollicking start with RCB registering their 11th win in their opening games in the history of the IPL.

KKR posted 174 on the board with skipper, Ajinkya Rahane, top-scoring with 56. Sunil Narine provided another cameo up top with an entertaining 44 off 26 deliveries. The two added 103 runs for the second wicket. Their partnership looked quite menacing for the tourists.

However, apart from them, no one clicked for the hosts. Angkrish Raghuvanshi stuck around for 22 deliveries, dding 30 runs. The combination of Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, and Ramandeep Singh yielded only 22 runs off as many deliveries. Along with Josh Hazlewood, Krunal Pandya was the pick of the bowlers for RCB, conceding 29 runs and picking three wickets.

Coming to the run-chase, Phil Salt and Virat Kohli started off the innings with a flurry of mesmerising shots. In no time, RCB reached 80 without the loss of any wicket in their pursuit of the 175-run target. It was their second-largest total in the powerplay in their history of the IPL. Salt departed moments before the opening stand would have surpassed the 100-run mark.

However, Kohli did not stop there. After Devdutt Padikkal was dismissed for a run-a-ball 10, he combined along with skipper, Rajat Patidar, to plunder the KKR bowling attack. Patidar ended up providing a huge boost to the innings. Liam Livingstone late blows helped RCB wrap up the game via a convincing margin at the end. Only Narine (1/27) ended up conceding less than 10 per over.
