The BJP organised the Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, Sneh Milan Samaroh on the occasion of Bihar Day at Parwanoo in Solan district today.
BJP MP and renowned singer and actor Manoj Tiwari, who was the chief guest on the occasion, attempted to win over a large number of migrants from Bihar residing in Parwanoo industrial town ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections. He also addressed the Bihari migrants at Nalagarh.
Tiwari, while addressing a gathering largely comprising migrants from Bihar, lauded the efforts of former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur for his development initiatives in the state.
He appealed to the people of Purvanchal in Bihar that apart from Parwanoo in Himachal, Bihar Purvanchal also required their support. He congratulated them on the occasion of Bihar Day. He said, “It was on March 22, 1911, when India was not independent, that the state of Bihar was constituted. Today, Bihar Day is being celebrated not only in the country but also all over the world and the BJP is honouring the people of Bihar and Purvanchal. All this is being done under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it is an inspiration for those who are indulging in divisive politics of dividing the country into different parts.”
Tiwari said “Under the BJP rule, no street vendor is displaced. Rather, Rs one lakh is given without interest to set up livelihood to each vendor.”
He said that in future, when the BJP government assumes power in Himachal Pradesh, out of the 192 houses built under the Integrated Housing and Slum Development Programme, the remaining 133 houses will be allotted to the migrants residing in the Parwanoo slum area.
He urged the migrants to visit Bihar for four to five days during the elections as their contribution was required in their state. He elaborated upon schemes like ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ being implemented by the BJP which endaevour to empower the girl child and sought their support for the BJP.
Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, while speaking on the occasion, said that it has been 113 years since Bihar was formed. “Bihar has a long history and the workers of Bihar and Purvanchal have contributed a lot to the progress of Himachal.”
He recalled the contribution of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee who had extended an industry package to the state and made it the pharmaceutical hub. Today we are proud that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar is progressing continuously. “The budget of Bihar for the year 2025-2026 has witnessed a steep hike. A lot of work has been done in the expansion of airports and railways.”
Rajiv Sahzal, former Kasauli MLA, and state BJP organisation general secretary Siddharthan were also present on the occasion.
