Mumbai: BJP MLC Pravin Darekar moved a breach of privilege motion notice against Kunal Kamra and Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Sushma Andhare in the council. Darekar said Kamra and Andhare not only insulted Dy CM Eknath Shinde but both houses of legislature. “Kamra composed a poem insulting Shinde, and the poem was recited again by Andhare on social media. After that, she composed another poem criticising CM Devendra Fadnavis. This amounts to contempt of this House. Because of Andhare’s low-level language and Kamra’s low-level criticism of Shinde, I am moving a breach of privilege motion,” said Darekar. Shiv Sena MLC Hemant Patil demanded immediate arrest of Kamra, saying he on many occasions uploaded pictures with Delhi riots accused Umar Khalid, indicating a close friendship between the two. Sena MLA Ramesh Bornare also moved a privilege motion against Andhare. TNN
