On his campaign trail, Canada Prime Minister Mark Carney was recently heckled, and the video went viral as protesters questioned his link to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as Carney was seen with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s associate, in a photograph. Hollywood actor Tom Hanks was also there in the photo but the authenticity of the photo was not verified and experts opined that it was mostly AI-generated.
“Canada is not America. Look at this room. Canada is a mosaic and America is a melting pot,” Carney was saying in his campaign speech when the heckler shouted, ‘how many kids did you molest with Jeffrey Epstein?’. Carney looked stunned at the question and the heckler was removed from rally, reports said. The alleged heckler uploaded a video of his throwing the question on the Prime Minister and leaving him all puzzled and bewildered with no answer.
Epstein died by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019, five weeks after being arrested and charged with sex trafficking. His associate Maxwell is serving a 20-year sentence in a Florida prison after her after her conviction in 2021 on five charges for having recruited and groomed underage girls for Epstein.
Amid a massive tariff war with the United States, Canada is going to vote on April 28. After becoming the prime minister, Carney did not get a phone call from Trump, who has been pushing his idea to acquire Canada as the 51st state of the United States, until Friday when finally the two leaders had a telephonic conversation. “It was an extremely productive call, we agree on many things, and will be meeting immediately after Canada’s upcoming Election to work on elements of Politics, Business, and all other factors,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. Carney said Donald Trump was respectful in the call towards Canada’s sovereignty.
