The IPL 2025 season promises to be a thrilling one for the viewers as ten teams will face each other for the coveted IPL trophy. Five-time defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be aiming to leave behind the disappointment of the last season and make a comeback here.
CSK were hit with various injury issues last season which affected their campaign. They finished fifth on the points table with seven wins and seven defeats and just fell behind RCB to bow out of the playoffs race.
CSK will be led by the opener Ruturaj Gaikwad once again. Gaikwad was unfortunate to deal with a no. of injury issues last season which didn’t allow him to showcase his captaincy potential.
With MS Dhoni still available, Gaikwad will be aiming to take CSK to their sixth IPL trophy in the upcoming IPL. Chennai have a strong squad at its disposal and is likely to attack the opposition with a variety of spin-bowling options.
