New Delhi: A Delhi court on Tuesday sent a head constable to 14 days of judicial custody. He was arrested by CBI while accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. The court of special judge Shailender Malik heard the matter.According to the prosecution, CBI officials conducted a raid on Monday based on the complaint of a man alleging that officers from the Ashok Vihar police station were demanding a bribe of Rs 2 lakh to dispose of a complaint pending against him. Advocate Sanjay Sharma, appearing for the complainant, Om Prakash Sharma, told TOI that all the relevant recordings were submitted as proof of the accused demanding a bribe from him. Following this, a raid was conducted and the head constable, Raj Kumar, was caught red-handed. A sub-inspector, Vishal Singh, who is also an accused in the matter, is still absconding. TNN
