Delhi Police nab four robbery suspects

New Delhi: Four men were arrested in connection with a robbery case of Rs 30 lakh involving a businessman who was injured in Pitampura, Northwest Delhi. The accused were identified as Sanchit Shehdev (22), Shival (24), Rustam (35), and Anil (42).
Police said that on March 25, a complainant, Krishan Gupta (59), reported that he lived with his family in Omkar Nagar, Tri Nagar, and his office was located in Pitampura.
While he was heading home with his servant, Balvinder Singh, carrying Rs 30 lakh in a bag on a scooter, two men stopped them in front of a bank at RP Block, Pitampura. They attacked the duo with sticks. Upon being attacked, Balvinder ran away from the spot, and the assailants robbed the bag containing the cash, threatening to kill Gupta before fleeing, the police said.
A case was registered, and during the investigation, four men were arrested.
Police said that, based on their statements, the robbed cash of Rs 16,94,000 and the motorcycle used in the commission of the crime were recovered.
Anil was previously involved in several criminal cases. All the accused began committing crimes to earn easy money, the police added.
