Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda on Sunday inaugurated ‘iMpower Academy for Skills’ under the ‘Kaushal Sambal’ programme at Madhav Jan Sewa Nyas, at Patti Kalyana in Samalkha here.
The academy aims at empowering 10,000 youth over the next five years by providing them with industry-relevant vocational training. The initiative focuses on equipping underserved youth with practical skills and employment opportunities across multiple trades.
“This initiative will empower the youth with skill-based training, contributing significantly to India’s economy and growth,” said Dhanda.
The academy, which is being established by M3M foundation, will offer training in trades including electrician, plumber, bedside care, sewing machine operator, computer operations, assistant beauty therapist, construction assistant, carpenter, and more. Courses are designed to meet both traditional and modern industrial demands.
Basant Bansal, Chairman & Founder of M3M Group, said, “This first-of-its-kind premier institute in the region will attract the youth to join skill development programmes and become employable, prosperous and self-reliant.”
Dr Payal Kanodia, Chairperson & Trustee, M3M Foundation, said, “Skill Development is essential in providing youth with employment opportunities and fostering entrepreneurship. This initiative will empower thousands of youths in Panipat and provide them with structured training programmes to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals across various sectors.
Pawan Jindal, Northern Region Sanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Pramod Vij, MLA, Panipat City, and Prashant Hartalkar, Senior Functionary, RSS along with other people were present during the programme.
