The state government’s Super-100 initiative, under the Samagra Shiksha, is transforming the lives of meritorious students from government schools.
This project provides free online coaching for NEET and JEE exams to meritorious students of government school students, bridging the resource gap and empowering students to pursue their dreams. As many as 21 students, who were part of the initiative, secured admission to prestigious engineering and medical institutions last year. According to Samagra Shiksha spokesperson, 500 students are selected for free online coaching for NEET and JEE exams.
These students are selected on the basis of a state-level examination. Along with online classes, Samagra Shiksha also conducts boot camp for these students, wherein the students can clear their doubts on off-line classes. Currently, two boot camps are underway – one in Shimla, and the other in Dharamsala. According to Samagra Shiksha Project Director Rajesh Sharma, around 200 schoolchildren are getting JEE and NEET coaching at these boot camps.
