KDMC initiatives boost enrollment in municipal schools, 403 children took admission on Gudi Padwa

KALYAN: The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) recently started various initiatives for the renovation of all municipal schools and the provision of quality education in their schools. As a result, a good number of children took admission in municipal schools.
On the occasion of Gudi Padwa, the KDMC Education Department started the admission process in all municipal schools simultaneously. Under this initiative, 403 children took admission in 56 out of 57 KDMC schools in one day.
Sanjay Jadhav, Deputy Municipal Commissioner of the Education Department, said, “Admission of children could not start in the two Urdu schools of the Municipal Corporation due to Eid; otherwise, this number was expected to increase even more.”
According to KDMC, the admission of children will continue in the coming time, and these numbers will increase even more.
In schools in Umbarde in Kalyan West and Patharli in Dombivli, the registration of newly admitted students was done with enthusiasm in the presence of KDMC Commissioner Dr Indurani Jakhar.
Through this initiative, efforts are being made by the Education Department to ensure that more and more school children enter KDMC schools. A large amount of funds was also provided for schools, informed Municipal Commissioner Dr Indurani Jakhar.
On this occasion, a state-of-the-art computer lab and a well-equipped experimental setup by Sajag Charitable Trusts were inaugurated by the hands of Jakhar.
