Navi Mumbai: A 45-year-old mason was shot dead by an unidentified assailant at a construction site in Manghar village of Panvel taluka on Wednesday around 5pm. Panvel City police have registered a murder case.
Nitin Thakare, Senior Inspector of Panvel City, informed that the deceased was identified as Babu Waghmare. Upon hearing the gunshot at the construction site, the other labourers rushed to the spot and found Waghmare lying in a pool of blood.
