Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to lock horns in Match No. 2 of IPL 2025 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Sunday, March 23. The last time these two teams met was in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2024, where SRH ended RR’s campaign with a 36-run victory.
SRH enters IPL 2025 with a strong squad led by Australian pacer Pat Cummins. Their batting lineup is full of star batters, featuring Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen. Their bowling attack, spearheaded by Cummins will be supported by Mohammed Shami, Harshal Patel, and Adam Zampa.
RR, on the other hand, will be without Jos Buttler, making their batting unit slightly vulnerable. Riyan Parag will lead the team for the first three games, with Sanju Samson expected to play as a specialist batter while recovering from a finger injury. Yashasvi Jaiswal, Nitish Rana, and Shimron Hetmyer will need to step up. Meanwhile, Jofra Archer, RR’s big buy at the auction, will be under the spotlight to deliver.
