LSG vs MI IPL Stats at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow

Lucknow Super Giants will host Mumbai Indians at the Bharat Ratna Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow for Match 16 of IPL 2025.

LSG had to sit through a hammering from Punjab Kings at their home ground in their last game. LSG’s top order all fell cheaply in the powerplay. Nicholas Pooran tried to work through the collapse, but fell before he could do too much. It took Ayush Badoni’s steering and Abdul Samad’s big hitting at the end to take LSG to a total that looked respectable.

Priyansh Arya’s early dismissal notwithstanding, Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer tore into the LSG bowling with fifties that took the game away from the hosts. Nehal Wadhera too showed his hitting prowess towards the finish. Digvesh Rathi was the only respite for LSG’s bowling.

MI had an easier time dealing with KKR at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Trent Boult and Deepak Chahar struck in the powerplay, while IPL debutant and record-breaker Ashwani Kumar took out KKR’s lower middle order in the middle overs. KKR were eventually shot out for a paltry 116. Ryan Rickelton made an unbeaten half century in the chase, while Suryakumar Yadav put in the finishing touches.
