The twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri have been adorned in the colours of the national flag by the Municipal Corporation Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ) to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Every chowk, road and divider across the cities has been decorated with Tricolour scarves.
Welcome gates in tricolour have been installed at key chowks, while at night, the roads shine with tricolour lights and other decorative illuminations. The beautification effort is being supervised by Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha, who has been monitoring the developments on the ground.
“I am keeping an eye on every activity by staying in the field. The roads of the twin cities have been renovated. Dividers, poles and roadside walls have been made beautiful by painting them,” said Sinha.
He added that special drives were underway to remove encroachments, make the cities free from stray cattle and ensure cleanliness. “Twin cities are decorated like a bride. Every city resident is appreciating this working system of the MCYJ,” he remarked.
