New Delhi: A girl who was stabbed in Delhi Cantt area by an acquaintance nearly a week ago died of her injuries on Friday. She was stabbed on Sunday by a youth who also stabbed himself in the stomach. The youth and the girl knew each other for the past year and were friends.
Police said he stabbed her in the neck and abdomen, causing severe injuries, including a cut on her windpipe. The brother of the girl said they were informed by doctors at 9:30 am on Saturday. Police said the accused, Amit, was still receiving treatment and will be arrested, and the section of murder has been added. According to police sources, he gave his statement on Thursday. “A day before the stabbing incident, they had a serious argument over the issue,” a source said.
