The IPL 2025 is already being hyped to be one of the biggest tournaments which will feature some of the best players in international cricket. The team which will be backed by the fans is Royal Challengers Bengaluru who are still looking for their maiden IPL title. Once again, the biggest star of the franchise will be India batting legend Virat Kohli.
Virat was recently seen at the RCB Innovation Lab Indian Sports Summit, answering some questions during the press conference. The legendary batter and four-time ICC trophy winner was asked on who is the toughest bowler he has faced so far and named Jasprit Bumrah. He brought up the battles he has had with him not only in the IPL but in the nets as well. Virat has also brought up how fun and challenging it is to face him either in the match or the nets.
“Today No doubt about it Jasprit (Bumrah) is the best bowler in the world, across all the formats and he’s got me out a few times in the IPL I’ve had success against him in the IPL, when I face him it’s like okay it’s gonna be fun. Because we do not get to do that in the nets, I mean even him and me in the nets it’s like playing a match, the intensity is like we play a match in the IPL, every ball I hunt to get runs while he tries to get me out, you can sense that I’m at match intensity and he’s at match intensity. Today he is probably the marker that I keep when I play him in the nets regularly, it is the most enjoyable and toughest challenge”, the four-time ICC Trophy winner said.
