MS Dhoni has shared his thoughts about a controversial incident from IPL 2019 where he entered the field to dispute with umpires over a no-ball decision.

This unexpected behaviour resulted in Dhoni being fined 50% of his match fees.

At a recent event, when Mandira Bedi asked Dhoni if he ever lost his cool, he responded: “Lots of time. It has happened; one of the IPL games, it happened. I just walked on the field. So that was a big mistake.”
“But other than that, also, there have been instances where something gets triggered because we play a sport where the stakes are very high; you’re supposed to win every game,” he added.
Dhoni, who has led Chennai Super Kings to five IPL championships, will continue playing for the team in IPL 2025.
