Dear Reader,
My love for stories blossomed in my childhood, where many magical evenings were spent under the stars, listening to the folklore shared by the elders. Outside of my work as a cinematographer, that made me a storyteller by choice.
‘Alif’ is the first letter in the Urdu alphabet. In Mathematics, it stands for one. It is the true beginning of everything — embodying unity and oneness. And stories… stories, too, have the power to unite, inspire, and engage.
With every story I write and narrate, I hope to transcend my listeners to a different world, leaving them inspired. This has been my mission with my podcast, Qisse Kahaniyaan, on The Quint.
After two successful seasons that captivated audiences and garnered accolades, I’m thrilled to announce that I’m returning with Season 3.
The new season has a bold new direction, blending history with immersive storytelling. Each episode will take you into the minds of history’s most famous and infamous personalities, presenting their untold stories from their own perspectives. Through dramatised monologues, powerful voice acting, rich sound design, and an alternating narrative style between the anchor and the historical character, I hope to bring these figures to life like never before.
