Pakistan Super League T20 team Quetta Gladiators’ off-spinner Usman Tariq was reported for a suspect bowling action during a match against Lahore Qalandars at Rawalpindi on Sunday, where on-field umpires Ahsan Raza and Chris Brown flagged his action.
Tariq bowled his full quota of four overs in the match against Qalandars, finishing with figures of 1-31 as Quetta lost by 79 runs.

Earlier in the tournament, Tariq had delivered an impressive performance against Peshawar Zalmi, taking 2-26 in Quetta’s commanding 80-run victory.
“As per the rules, Usman can continue to bowl in future (PSL) matches,” the Pakistan Cricket Board said in a statement. “However, if he is reported again, he will be suspended from bowling and will need to obtain clearance from an ICC-accredited lab before he can resume bowling.”
This isn’t Tariq’s first brush with bowling action scrutiny. Last year, he faced similar reports during Quetta’s match against Karachi Kings at the same venue, leading the franchise to voluntarily withdraw him from the tournament.
Tariq subsequently underwent testing at an ICC-accredited laboratory in Lahore in August, which cleared his bowling action. He then participated in domestic tournaments without any further issues.
