Poonch Police attach property of suspect who crossed over to PoK
Poonch Police have attached the property of Manzoor Ahmed, who crossed over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in the 90s and is currently residing there. The district court ordered the attachment due to his suspicious activities and involvement in a 1993 FIR under the Egress and Internal Movement Control Ordinance.

JAMMU: Poonch Police have attached the property of a suspect who had crossed over to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and was currently residing there.
“Manzoor Ahmed crossed over to PoK in the 90s and his actions there were suspicious, in view of which the district court on Saturday ordered the attachment of his property — land measuring 2 kanals 18 marlas with khasra number 59 and 12 marlas with khasra number 9 — under Section 87/88 of CrPC,” said a police spokesperson.
“Ahmed was involved in FIR No 60/1993 registered under Sections 2/3 of the Egress and Internal Movement (Control) Ordinance (E&IMCO) at Mandi PS in Poonch and later absconded to Pakistan/PoK; the court thus declared him a proclaimed offender,” the spokesperson said.
“Despite extensive efforts to arrest him, the accused remained at large, leading the court to order the attachment of his property,” the spokesperson said, adding that efforts to trace him were underway.
