Light to moderate rainfall have been recorded at various places in the state since Thursday evening. While hail was recorded at Sundernagar, Shimla and Banjar, thunderstorm activity was observed in Shimla, Sundernagar, Jubberhatti, Jot, Kangra and Bhunter. Shimla was lashed by rain in the morning, while a few places in upper Shimla received hailstone.
Until noon tomorrow, there is a possibility of strong thunderstorms at some places in Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Sirmaur, Solan and hailstorm may also occur at one or two places. A yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorm accompanied with lightning at isolated places tomorrow.
Besides, light precipitation is likely at few places tomorrow in the district of Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Kinnaur and Kangra districts and at isolated places in Solan and Sirmaur districts.
Maximum temperatures likely to fall by 4-5 degree Celsius over most parts of the state during the next 24 hours. Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail over the state during remaining days of the week.
