Mumbai: MNS president Raj Thackeray has appointed Sandeep Deshpande as the Mumbai president of his party, restructuring the organisation ahead of the civic elections. This appointment represents a departure from the previous structure where local leaders directly reported to the party president. Deshpande, previously served as a corporator. The party, which emphasises Marathi identity, witnessed a decline in its electoral performance since its formation.
