Sanjauli mosque case hearing now on April 19 – The Tribune


The next hearing in the Sanjauli mosque case in the Shimla Municipal Commissioner’s court is now scheduled for April 19. The hearing in the case was scheduled for today, however, due to the absence of an advocate following the death of a member of the Bar Council, it was deferred to April 19.

In the next hearing, the Himachal Pradesh Waqf Board and the Sanjauli Mosque Committee are required to file a status report as well as present relevant revenue records and other documents before the court.

Recently, the Himachal High Court had granted six weeks to the Municipal Commissioner’s Court to decide the case. As per the High Court order, the Commissioner’s court has been directed to decide the case by May 8.
