Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face each other in the seventh match of the IPL 2025. The match between the two sides will occur in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on March 27 at 7:30 PM (IST). Both sides have had contrasting starts to their campaign in the 18th edition of the league.
In their previous match, SRH claimed a massive win over RR. The 2016 champions posted the second-highest total in the history of the league, thanks to a collective effort from the batting unit. While RR put on a show with the bat by scoring 242 runs, it was not enough, as the Orange Army claimed a massive win of 44 runs, which helped them to top the table.
On the other hand, Lucknow suffered a heartbreaking loss in a thrilling game against Delhi Capitals. Batting first, LSG scored 209 runs on a surface that turned square. LSG had DC at 65/5 at one point, but couldn’t get the job done. Vipraj Nigam and Ashutosh Sharma’s brilliance ensured DC pulled off a heist and beat Super Giants by a solitary wicket.
While SRH will look to strengthen their spot in the table, LSG will hope to claim their first win of the tournament. Both teams have some of the best players in the world. SRH boasts some terrific players like Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen, Pat Cummins, and others. LSG has Nicholas Pooran, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant, Aiden Markram, and others.

Pitch Report
The match between SRH and LSG will take place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. The venue has arguably the flattest surface in the last few seasons of the IPL. Apart from a bit of early swing and grip for the spinners in the middle overs, the surface offers near nothing for the bowlers.
A run fest can be expected given the strength of both batting units. SRH is particularly known for its batting supremacy, whose juggernaut is difficult to stop. Dew might not be a factor at this point in the tournament. However, chasing the total could be a good idea, as wicket could get better to bat on with the progression of the match.
Head-to-Head Record
Super Giants and Sunrisers have faced each other four times in the IPL so far. Their first faceoff was in 2022, which was won by the Super Giants by 12 runs. LSG maintained a winning streak for a couple of more games before suffering a massive 10-wicket loss in their most recent game in 2024.
