A physical confrontation between a woman and a man emerged at the Arun Jaitley Stadium during the recently-concluded game between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians in Match 29 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League on Sunday, April 13.

The context regarding why the altercation started remains unknown. The matter seemed to have been diffused by the onlookers before the security personnel could intervene. It is another mystery as to what action will be taken against the people involved in creating the chaos.

Speaking of the game, MI got the better of DC by 12 runs to register their second win of the competition. The narrow loss was the hosts’ first of the season. Ahead of the game, they were coming off a four-game winning streak. A blistering 89-run knock off 40 deliveries by Karun Nair went in vain as none of the other batters could settle themselves in.

The Player of the Match accolade was awarded to Karn Sharma for his fantastic piece of bowling. The leg-spinner, coming in as MI’s Impact Player, secured a three-wicket haul while only conceding 36 runs in his four-over quota. Earlier in the evening, Axar Patel had won the toss and sent the opposition in to bat first. MI ended up with 205/5 at the end of their innings.

DC are all set to take on Rajasthan Royals at the same venue on Wednesday, April 16. As for MI, they will be up against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday, April 17. Both games are scheduled to commence at 7:30 pm (IST).
