MUMBAI: Due to a malfunction at the power substation located at the Powai low-level reservoir, water supply in certain areas of the ‘L’ ward will be shut off, while some areas will receive water at low pressure today on April 14, 2025.
The areas which will face low water pressure will be Kajupada, Christian Gaon, Masrani Lane, A. H. Wadia Marg, Wadia Estate, M. N. Marg, Bail Bazaar, Sandesh Nagar, Kranti Nagar, Brahmanwadi, Patel Wadi, Buddha Colony, LIG-MIG Colony, Vinoba Bhave Nagar, Premier Residence, Kapadia Nagar while areas with complete water shutdown: New Mill Road, Match Factory Lane, Takiya area, Shivaji Kutir, Taximen Colony, Indira Nagar, Maharashtra Kata, A. B. S. Marg, Chafe Galli, Chunabhatti, Vijay Nagar, Jari Mata Mandir area
Once repairs are completed, water supply will resume gradually after refilling Powai High-Level Reservoir No. 2.
Officials said that a fault has occurred at the 22kV substation at the Powai low-level reservoir. Repair work has been taken up urgently. After completion, water supply will be normalised in stages once Powai High-Level Reservoir No. 2 is refilled.
Citizens are requested to use water judiciously and sparingly during this period, as appealed by the municipal administration.
