Youth falls from Peeragarhi flyover, dies

New Delhi: A 23-year-old youth died after falling off the Peeragarhi flyover on Saturday evening when a car rammed into a stationary scooty. The deceased, Ansh, was a resident of Palam Village. Police received a call from Jaipur Golden Hospital around 7.45 pm reporting the fatal accident. The incident involved three friends—Ansh, Abhimanyu (21), and Alok (22)—who were returning to Palam after a cricket match at Delhi Technical University. According to DCP (outer district) Sachin Sharma, the scooty had stopped near Navjeevan Hospital on the flyover when Abhimanyu received a video call from home. While they were halted, a white car hit the scooty from behind. The impact threw Ansh off the flyover; he was declared dead at the hospital. Abhimanyu and Alok were injured and are being treated. Abhimanyu is preparing for the CGL exam, Alok works at a private firm, and Ansh was currently unemployed. TNN
